Distressed Bermuda Shorts are trending this season and there are so many ways to style them! A simple crop top, flat platform sandals, and a woven bag make this outfit perfect for the boardwalk or the barbecue! The distressed detail on the Bermuda shorts make them look shorter than they are while platform sandals give you height.

Nothing screams summer like a floral off-the-shoulder top! This top is actually part of a two piece matching set, but the floral pattern and shirred design make it perfect for mixing and matching with other bottoms. Off-the-shoulder tops are such a staple for spring and summer. Pair your floral crop top with high-waisted shorts with a short inseam to make your legs look longer!

For cooler days, balance out super short shorts with a white flowy long-sleeve crop top like this one from Princess Polly Boutique. Everyone needs a season-appropriate white top, so make this one yours for summer! The open back design and voluminous sleeves make this top a dreamy pair with short shorts and flat sandals!

I love how this dress is tight but not too tight and hits just above the knee, which is super flattering on petites. Flat sandals and a denim jacket keep the outfit casual, but a quick swap of accessories can take this dress from beach day to dinner date!

Distressed boyfriend jeans can be a tough sell for the petite crowd because the baggy silhouette can quickly go from casual beach vibes to short and stumpy really fast. One trick I love to use on slightly baggy jeans, like boyfriend jeans, is to fold the inseam vertically toward the leg then cuff the bottoms over the folded inseam to create a slightly more tapered fit toward the bottom of the leg.

Aren’t these bohemian patterned shorts absolutely perfect for summer? The embroidered detail and soft fabric make these shorts super comfortable and easy to pair with any neutral top. You could also easily swap out the flat platforms for wedges to add height and swap the white crop top for an embroidered bodysuit to pull together a slightly dressier look. The possibilities are endless!

Nothing screams comfortable like a pair of soft cropped pants and a flowy top. This outfit is my favorite for lazy Sunday morning walks when the weather is warm, but there’s a slight breeze. Don’t shy away from cropped styles if you’re petite. You don’t always have to “look taller” then you are. I personally love heels, but sometimes flats are so much more appealing. Cropped pants can look just as great with flat shoes as long as you pick a pair that don’t cut you off at the ankle and aren’t too overwhelming, so a pair of simple ruffle slides are perfect!

Ruffles and I have come to an understanding lately. I pick ruffle styles that don’t overwhelm my frame and they can have a home in my closet! For the longest time, I never wanted to wear anything with ruffles, but I’ve been slowly integrating them into my wardrobe. This off-the-shoulder white ruffle top is a great piece to add to your petite wardrobe. It adds just the right amount of volume up top and the bodysuit fit keeps you from looking like a cake topper! I love paring this top with printed shorts and a bohemian bag for a super cute summery look!
